Feb 15th, 2012: EOTO will kick off their spring ‘Bass Invaders Tour' this March with a bang. The dynamic duo will hit the road with a fully immersive 17 foot lotus flower stage design and custom 3D-mapped projections, built to completely envelop the duo in a visual odyssey, as they slice and dice their way through their 100% live improvisation show. The tour will launch in Philadelphia on March 31st and will travel throughout the southeast and east coast with a number of festival stops along the way. On February 22nd, the duo will also be releasing the fourth installment of their live tour compilation, K-Turns & U-Turns Vol. 4 --- a wildly celebrated album, the annual release features their best recorded tracks from 2011.
Throbbing bass and thudding beats are the signatures of this project from multi-instrumentalist Michael Travis and drummer/vocalist Jason Hann. Born out of their shared love of electronic dance music, EOTO’s M.O. is to take the free-wheeling party vibe of a DJ set to the next level by using organic instruments, innovative performance technology, and uncharted musical exploration. Live drums, guitars, and keys, and vocals are mixed, remixed, and sampled on the fly using cutting-edge programs. This is all done without a script, and without a net.
After almost six years on the road, EOTO has morphed into a full-scale musical experience incorporating all of the senses in their live production. Logging in more than 150+ performances a year, the project navigates through a bass driven musical landscape while laying down enough material to successfully produce a brand new album each night they perform. It’s truly a sight to behold. With the addition of the 3D lotus stage design, EOTO can now capture an unabashed visual experience to accompany their groundbreaking live producing style. And, beginning April 1st, EOTO will add glitch hop pioneer and former Glitch Mob member, Kraddy, as support on the Bass Invaders Tour. (http://www.kraddyodaddy.com/).
EOTO RELEASES 2011 RECORDING COMPILATION Throughout 2011, Travis and Hann recorded and released 98 live shows for public download and each year they release their favorite tracks from the tour into one cohesive album named K-Turns and U-Turns. Each volume of the live compliation has been edited into a non-stop epic outlining the band's live evolution. This year, the compilation pulls together 52 songs spanning over 4 hours of music, from 34 different cities --- celebrating songs from every genre, style, and tempo that EOTO created live last year. The album will be available for download on February 22nd at LiveDownloads.
