Poor Man’s Whiskey is very excited to share the results of many, many hours of hard work in the studio. "Goodbye California" is the bands 5th album and they could not be more proud of the effort. Goodbye California gets right to the heart of what PMW represents as a band. Featuring songs like Humboldt Hoedown, Ramblin' and the title track Goodbye California, the band has tried their best to reproduce the feel of a live show. This album represents an effort to give the listener a close approximation of what it’s like to be a part of the PMW experience. They have been sharing these experiences with a rapidly growing fan base for the past 10 years.
Produced by the band at PMW’s Moonshine Studios in Santa Rosa, this album shows the experience that comes with more than a decade of being a band. Each song on Goodbye California seems to find it’s own space and begs the listener to sing along. Even though the band has gone through multiple cast changes along the way, they have found a common musical thread that has persisted through the years.
PMW is also excited to announce that they will have several very special guests joining them on stage at the Great American. West Coast guitar wizard, Sean Lehe of Izabella and The Bumptet will be sitting in on several songs.
The members of Hot Buttered Rum will be joining in the fun as well. Aaron, Nat, Erik, Bryan and Lucas will all be sitting in with PMW. The two bands are like family and you just never know what kind of magical musical moments might be created when they join forces.
You can join in the revelry on Friday May 20th at the Great American Music Hall. Get there early to catch Lake Tahoe’s hottest band, The Dead Winter Carpenters, who will kick off the evening at 9:00 pm.
